"why is a raven like a writing desk?" "huh?" "why is a raven like a writing desk? that questions haunted me forever." "a raven isn't like a writing desk, there is no answer." "but there is." "there is?" "but of course, every riddle has an answer." "then tell me, how is a raven like a writing desk?" "simple. they aren't alike at all." "but that makes no sense." "ah, but it does. you see, a raven and a writing desk are two entirely different things. they are both different in every form possible, which also makes them alike in every form possible." "i'm not following." "the answers simple. a raven and a writing desk are alike because they are both different. they are both so entirely different from eachother that they are alike. they are both different and if they are both different, then that makes them have something in commen, now doesn't it? that is how they are alike." "i think you've gone mad." "maybe. but the best people are, aren't they? i mean, maybe a raven and a writing desk are alike because they are both abandoned. both used and loved and treated with care, magic and art are created across their wood tops or broken wings. and they then are tossed away, left to fend for themselves or soar across the sky alone, abandoned after all the years of love they gave you." "you're just trying to make sense of nonsense now." "everythings nonsense."
Literature
about a girl
colorblind,
though not the sort to confuse reds with greens, no.
myriads of greys smoke out a hushed world
& the newborn moon bleeds black
remember being so
effectable-
the type to stiffen & yelp
at a single needle, at a single lie
o u t o f p l a c e .
steeled.
now.
though neither in blade nor jaw
that storm denatured me-
warped and rusted
side-stepped
fragile
thin-veined
unworthy
growing out of this ill-fitting s k i n
to be comfortable, to be home, to be
furthest
from
here
Literature
cry for...
cry for...
the girl who sees fat
in all the wrong places
and wishes for a way
to eliminate it quickly
the boy who strayed
popping pills like candy
nearly drowning in sorrow
and creating a single red line
the girl who feels deformed
no matter what you see in her
how lovely she truly is
she's convinced it's all lies
the boy who has to hide himself
and holds more secrets than you know
but let's me see inside his heart
and stays strong for us both
the girl who just wants love
but keeps doing it the wrong way
she may not see it but i can
and she needs help before it's too late
cry for us, strangers to you
but not to others

A Girl Without a Reason
Ladies and gentlemen,
The moon has appeared,
If you please for a moment,
Lend me your ears,
If you listen closely,
You'll hear a girl,
She's pretty,
And bright,
And stands on top of the world,
And during the night,
She runs out in the dark,
Hanging letters to no one,
In the trees in the park,
And if you climb in the tree,
And take one out,
It explains to you,
What life is about,
How murdering the innocent,
And how polluting the seas,
Is as pointless and ignorant,
As hanging letters in trees.

i love your conversation pieces, even though you didn't make that much until now, but the ones you made are awesome. <3
I was always asking myself, WHY a raven is like a writing desk and I think this would be a good answer.
Well, I like this one very much. you really should do more writing pieces. ^^
